AWS Member Benefits

Education: AWS holds an annual conference in the fall in conjunction with the American College of Surgeons. AWS meetings provide the opportunity to meet other women who have similar aspirations and obstacles. We share ideas and strategies to address the challenges faced in their personal lives and professional careers. Continue your professional development, obtaining CME credits and getting “hands-on training, at AWS' fall conferences. Click here for more information.

Networking: With 1700 women surgeons as members, AWS is one of the largest organizations dedicated to enhancing the interaction and exchange of information between women surgeons. Annual Meetings, the Online Member Directory, and the AWS website provide ways for members to interact and help each other. A searchable mentor database has been developed for members and AWS supports networking breakfasts throughout the year.
